What we collect
- Your email address, and whether you agreed to marketing emails.
- What you tell us for the song: the recipient's name, the occasion, your memories, and the lyrics and gift message.
- The songs we make for you.
- Payment details are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to prevent abuse.
Why we use it
- To write, record and deliver your song (performing our contract with you).
- To send you the song and messages about your order.
- To send offers, only if you ticked the box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (our legitimate interest).
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic (writes the lyrics), ElevenLabs (records the music), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting).
- Some of these providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep orders and songs for 24 months so you can download your song again, then delete them. Unpaid drafts are deleted after 90 days. Ask us and we'll delete your data sooner.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@theirchorus.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use your browser's storage to remember your unfinished answers and your cookie choice. Only if you click Accept on the cookie bar do we also load the Meta Pixel and send purchase and sign-up events to Meta (Conversions API), so we can see which of our ads work. Meta receives the event, your IP address, browser details and a hashed (unreadable) copy of your email. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set and nothing is sent to Meta.
